New Guide for Tower Inspections from National Association of Tower Erectors

NATE has issued a new safety guide for tower inspections

A second edition of safety resource for UAS operations has been released by the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE)

The byproduct is a collaboration between NATE's UAS committee and other representatives from the commercial drone industry. The main goal is UAS operations capturing images and videos around wireless infrastructure, cellular towers, broadcast towers and utility structures. The operations incorporates updates with the FAA's Part 107.

“The second edition of this safety document will serve as a go-to resource for all workers and stakeholders in the industry to use as a guide in order to expand the safe and efficient commercial operation of UAS,” says Todd Schlekeway, executive director of NATE.

NATE also announced today that Art Pregler of AT&T, Christopher Desmond of Verizon Wireless and Robert McCoy of Crown Castle have officially joined the association’s UAS committee.
